Warren Middle School Cheer Squad Wins Awards at NCA State Championship Competition
The Warren Middle School cheer squad recently competed in the National Cheer Association's (NCA) Texas State Championship competition and won several awards. The 17 member team consists of both 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders.
The Warren Middle School Cheer Squad won the State Title on Sunday, Dec. 9 during the NCA Texas State Championships at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center in Dallas, Texas. The Warriors scored a 96 out of a possible 100 points in the state competition.
Not only did the squad capture 1st place in the Junior High Novice Performance Division, they also brought home the Herkie High Point award. Warren Middle School had the highest score of the entire day out scoring not only all Junior High performance teams, but also all High School performance teams as well.
The Warren Middle School Cheer Squad will compete in the NCA National Championships in Dallas, Texas on Jan. 26 and 27, 2019.
