Several Students Graduate from the Forney ISD GOALS Program
Eight students that attended school through the Forney ISD Graduating Our Alternative Learning Students, (GOALS) Program at the Forney Learning Academy recently graduated during the fall semester this year.
The Forney ISD GOALS Program is an alternative high school program that allows students to progress through their education at their own pace. The program allows for more one-on-one work with teachers, advisors and administrators.
The fall semester GOALS graduates are Vick Bell, Gunner Gray, Jordan Jefferson, Jordan Shawver, Krysten Robinson, Robert Ward III, Zariah Palmer and Christina Williams.
Vick Bell plans to attend the Los Angeles Film School in California to study music production and ultimately become an independent artist.
Gunner Gray plans to attend a film school in Los Angeles, California to study music production.
Jordan Jefferson plans to attend Texas Barber College in Lancaster, Texas.
Jordan Shawver plans to enlist in the United States Navy and pursue a high education by taking online classes while serving her country. Long-term, she wants to study and work in the field of marine biology.
Krysten Robinson plans to attend El Centro College in Dallas, Texas and study dental hygiene. Her ultimate goal is to be successful in her career and have a big family.
Robert Ward III plans to go to work full time and someday have a career as a successful actor and comedian.
Zariah Palmer plans to attend Tyler Junior College where she hopes to earn a spot on the cheer squad. She plans to eventually transfer to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and pursue a double major in political science and fashion design, with a minor in agriculture.
Christina Williams plans enroll in a cosmetology school and later enroll in a nursing program.
GOALS students can graduate at any time during the school year once they complete and pass the required work, end of course exams and STAAR tests. Forney ISD would like to congratulate all of the fall semester GOALS graduates on their dedication and perseverance to completing their graduation early and wish them great success in their future endeavors.
