Forney Education Foundation Awards Innovative Teaching Grants to Forney ISD Educators
The Forney Education Foundation recently awarded a total of 30 grants worth $48,500 to 30 teachers in Forney ISD. Directors from the foundation visited each teacher in their classroom on Wednesday, Oct. 3 announcing the grants.
On Monday, Oct. 1, the foundation presented the check for the grants to the Forney ISD Board of Trustees at the board's regular monthly board meeting.
The Forney Education Foundation was formed in 2004 to support the students and staff of Forney ISD. The foundation awards dual credit scholarships to Forney ISD high school students and teacher grants to Forney ISD teaches, administrators and staff members.
