Forney ISD Welcomes New Teachers to the District and a New School Year

New teachers to Forney ISD officially began with the District on Monday, July 30. More than 160 new teachers began the orientation process which will continue throughout the week.

Current teachers with the District will return to work on Monday, Aug. 6 and will complete two weeks of professional development and preparation for the upcoming school year. The first day of school for the 2018-19 school year is Monday, Aug. 20.

Forney ISD anticipates close to 11,000 students will be attending school in the District this year.
