Forney High and North Forney High Announce Schedule Pick-up Dates

The start of the 2018-19 school year is just around the corner and both Forney High School and North Forney High School are working hard to get ready for another great school year! Both schools have set their schedule pick-up nights where students and parents can come to the school, get a printed copy of their schedule and tour the buildings.

Forney High School

Forney High School's Black and Gold Night is set for Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All students and parents are invited to the Jackrabbit Gym at 6:30 p.m. for a short presentation. Students will have access to a printed class schedule and have the option to walk the campus. The cafeteria will be set up with various clubs and organizations for students to experience and sign up for student participation. Teachers will either be in their classroom or in the cafeteria if they manage a club or organization.

The athletic department has scheduled Meet the Jackrabbits for Thursday, Aug. 23 at City Bank Stadium.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a punt, pass and kick competition for kindergarten through 8th grade students.

At 7 p.m. the 2018 football players will be introduced. The Forney High School band, cheerleaders and AFJROTC flag detail will be a part of the ceremony.

The booster club will have booths set up to sell Jackrabbit merchandise and to share information about how to participate and support all FHS athletic teams.

North Forney High School

North Forney will hold Freshman Orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Schedule pick-up for all grade levels will be held on Friday, Aug. 17 beginning from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

North Forney High School will also hold Meet the Falcon on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. All of the 2018 football players will be introduced and members of the band and cheer squads will also be a part of the event.
