Forney ISD AFJROTC Cadets Receive Honors from Scottish Rite
Two Forney ISD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) Cadets recently attended the Scottish Rite Awards Banquet in downtown Dallas and received top honors.
Forney ISD AFJROTC Cadet Captain Jansen Cowart was awarded the Scottish Rite of Southern Jurisdiction JROTC Award and Forney ISD AFJROTC Cadet Second Lieutenant Brandon Bass was awarded the National Sojourner JROTC Award.
Both awards recognize the cadets for having contributed the most among cadets on campus to encourage and demonstrate Americanism and by deeds or conduct during participation in extracurricular activities or community service projects. In addition, they have demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership by exhibiting qualities of dependability, good character, self-discipline, good citizenship and patriotism.
