Johnson Elementary Student Wins Awards at Technology Olympics
Emma Stephens, a 4th grade student at Johnson Elementary School in Forney ISD, recently competed in the Technology Olympics held at the Region 10 Education Service Center. Stephens won Second Place in the Calculator 1 Competition and captured Third Place in the Breakout EDU competition.
Breakout EDU is a learning games platform where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve problems. Stephens worked with a group of four students using low vision devices and had to read Braille to get clues.
The Region 10 Education Service Center hosts the Technology Olympics annually for blind and visually impaired students.
