Forney ISD Recognizes School Counselors During National School Counseling Week
February 5 through 9 is the 2018 National School Counseling Week and appropriately titled, School Counselors: Helping Students Reach for the Stars. School counselors provide a unique contribution for every student at their campus.
National School Counseling Week is sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
Forney ISD has outstanding school counselors at every campus in the District. Each elementary school, middle school and the Forney Academic Center have one counselor while both Forney High School and North Forney High School each have three counselors.
Forney ISD counselors are instrumental in the social and emotional well-being of students in Forney ISD. The counselor's role includes providing guidance with lessons, campus service projects and providing college and career readiness guidance as well. They also play a critical role in supporting students, parents, staff and the community as a whole.
Below is a list of the counselors in Forney ISD and the schools they support. Please join us in thanking each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication to the students in Forney ISD!
