Forney ISD Cheer Squads Win Awards at National Competition

Forney High School and North Forney High School Cheer squads recently competed in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Competition and won several awards.

Both the junior varsity and varsity squads from Forney High School competed in the Game Day Category at the competition. The FHS Varsity Cheer Squad placed 4th overall in the national competition.

In their first year competing at the national competition, the FHS Junior Varsity squad finished first in Time Out Dance, second in Time Out Cheer and second in Fight Song.

North Forney High School's varsity cheer squad also competed at the national competition. The NFHS squad finished fourth in the Novice Large High School Performance Division.
