Forney Education Foundation Awards Grants to Forney ISD Teachers

The Forney Education Foundation recently awarded $40,000 in grant money to teachers in Forney ISD to help fund projects and programs for their classrooms. The foundation visited a number of schools in the District on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and surprised the teachers and their students in their classroom announcing the grant winners.

The Forney Education Foundation has been awarding grants to Forney ISD teachers through their Innovative Grant Program since 2008. Since that time, the foundation has awarded more than $450,000 in grants to Forney ISD teachers!

The Forney Education Foundation, founded in 2004, provides scholarship for dual credit courses for high school students in Forney ISD and grants for Forney ISD teachers. The non-profit organization relies completely on donations by businesses, organizations and individuals to fund the scholarships and grants.
