Forney High School and North Forney High School Announce Homecoming Events

Forney High School and North Forney High School recently announced plans for their homecoming events for the upcoming football season. North Forney High School’s homecoming football game will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 and Forney High School’s homecoming football game is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29. Both games will be played at City Bank Stadium.

North Forney High School’s homecoming events and activities include a Homecoming Extravaganza in the morning on Saturday, Sept. 9 followed by a Homecoming Parade in the evening. Events throughout the school’s homecoming week include Spirit Week, a Community Pep Rally at the football field behind the school, College Fair Day, a Pep Rally during school and then the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Sept. 16.

This will be the first year that the school will host a homecoming parade since the school opened in 2009.

“We are very excited about our homecoming plans for this year,” said North Forney High School Principal Courtney Peck. “We have a number of events and activities planned this year and I know our graduates are looking forward to the opportunity to come back home and attend the Homecoming Extravaganza and the first ever Homecoming Parade!”

Forney High School also has a number of events and activities scheduled for their homecoming as well. Some of the events include a Homecoming Parade, a Community Pep Rally, a Pep Rally during school and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Sept. 30.

“Homecoming at Forney High School has always been a very special time for our students and our alumni and we are looking forward to having another great homecoming week again this year,” said Forney High School Principal Steve Whiffen. “We are currently in the early planning stages. We will continue to work to make the week as special for all of our current students and graduates as possible.”

Additional dates, times and details for both the Forney High School and North Forney High School homecoming events and activities will be made available when students return to school in August.

The first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year is Monday, August 21, 2017.
