Forney High School Baseball and Softball Teams Advance in the State Playoffs
Both the Forney High School baseball and softball teams advanced in the Class 5A Regional Round of the State Playoffs last week. The FHS baseball team defeated Frisco Centennial 4-1 in a one game playoff to advance the Regional Semi-Finals and the FHS softball team won the best-of-three series against Mansfield Lake Ridge to advance to the Regional Finals. The team lost the opening game of the series 0-1 but came back to win game two 9-3 and finished off the series with a 7-5 victory on Saturday, May 20.
Forney High School Baseball
The Forney High School baseball team will face Mansfield Legacy in a best-of-three games series in the Regional Semi-Finals beginning on Thursday, May 25 at 5 p.m. at Dallas Baptist University. Game two of the series will be played on Friday, May 26 at 8 p.m., also at Dallas Baptist University. If a game three is necessary, the two teams will face off on Saturday, May 27 at 3 p.m., again at Dallas Baptist University.
Forney High School Softball
The Forney High School softball team will face The Colony in a best-of-three game series in the Regional Finals that is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 25 at Prosper High School at 7 p.m. Game two in the series will be played on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m. at Rockwall High School and game three, if necessary, will be played on Saturday, May 27 at 1 p.m. at Prosper High School.
