Forney ISD Recognizes School Nurses, Announces District Nurse of the Year
Wednesday, May 10 is National School Nurses Day and the Forney ISD Health Services Department took the opportunity to recognize all of the school nurses in the District. In addition, Forney ISD also honored one school nurse, Johnson Elementary School Nurse Ashley Kinder as the District's Nurse of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.
National School Nurses Day is always the Wednesday of National Nurses Week. National School Nurse Day honors all school nurses who care for the children in the schools every day. School nurses promote learning through healthy children.
The elementary school nurses in Forney ISD are Teresa Myers, Blackburn Elementary; Elizabeth Santillo, Claybon Elementary; Joyce Rosales, Criswell Elementary; Lisa Beatty, Crosby Elementary; Karen Wright, Henderson Elementary; Ashley Kinder, Johnson Elementary; Nancy Lovern, Lewis Elementary; Rebecca Spence, Rhea Elementary and Amy West, Smith Elementary. The District's middle school nurses are Danja Maharrey, Brown Middle School and Molly Crane, Warren Middle School. The high school nurses are Jana Gary, Forney High School; Katherine Pier, Forney High School; Kristine Tanner, North Forney High School and Leticia Silva, North Forney High School.
