Forney ISD AFJROTC Cadets Win Top Awards at Corsicana Competition
Forney ISD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) cadets recently competed in their last drill competition for the 2016-17 school year at Corsicana High School and took top honors. A total of 20 schools participate at the competition and the Forney ISD cadets placed high in four categories.
Cadet Major Kristopher Benford won 1st Place in the Male Pugil Stick competition; the Inspection Team, under the command of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Sara Tackett took 2nd Place in the Inspection Competition and the UnArmed Drill squad (Regulation, 60 Step), under the command of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Aidan Odle won third place in the UnArmed Drill competition. The 1st Year/30 Step Squad, under the command of Cadet Captain Zakary Clark won 4th place in the 1st Year/30 Step Squad competition.
