One of the most anticipated events to take place before the first day of school is coming soon! Forney ISD will present the District's Second Annual STEAMfest on Monday, Aug. 13 at North Forney High School from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event attracts hundreds of children and adults from Forney and surrounding communities who enjoy hands-on activities where they can have fun while learning more about Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM)!

 

Forney ISD's STEAMfest features a number of intriguing, fun and exciting educational events and activities that will thrill and entertain children of all ages. Attendees can participate in a virtual reality experience and then travel into outer space in the Orbit Earth Expo presented by Texas A&M Eco-Resilience NPD Progam and Spark Point Innovation or they can try their hand at solving a giant puzzle cube!

The event includes more than 50 hands on exhibits including slime time, a water balloon slingshot, eSports, a STEM Mobile Lab, kinetic sand, Lego creations, live performances, face painting, a petting zoo, food trucks, a cardboard city and much, much more! Attendees will also be able watch helicopters land then climb aboard to see what it looks like behind the controls!
