Forney ISD is searching for parents, business partners, and community members to serve on one of four key committees that will help guide the district as it prepares for the future. They are:

DISTRICT EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL - This committee will analyze district data, propose district calendars and professional development, and provide feedback for improvement planning for the school district.

​

INNOVATION & DESIGN TEAM - This team will help establish the district belief system and devise standards for our future Forney ISD learning environments.*

​

ADVANCED ACADEMICS/GIFTED & TALENTED COMMITTEE - This committee will discuss beliefs and future plans for advanced academics, gifted/talented, college and career, and other enrichment programs in Forney ISD.

​

DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY FOCUS TEAM - This team will evaluate our current instructional technology practices and develop plans for future technology integration.

NOTE: Each team will meet after school 2-6 times throughout the school year.

 

* The Innovation & Design Team will require members to participate in one full-day visioning trip to the Baylor Research & Innovation Collaborative on September 22, 2016.
